Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 September 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Skwad app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough under the law of the country you live in to enter a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. What Skwad is

Skwad is a platform that helps people organise and join casual football matches. We are not a party to the games. We do not organise, host, referee or supervise matches, and we do not own or operate the pitches or venues listed in the app. Venue details may be submitted by users and we do not guarantee they are accurate. Matches, venues, and arrangements between players are the responsibility of the players involved.

3. Your account

We verify your phone number with a one-time code sent over WhatsApp or SMS; standard messaging or data charges from your provider may apply. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@skwadfc.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Community conduct

When using Skwad, you agree to:

You can report a player or content through the app or by contacting us.

5. Payments are between players

Any pitch fees or costs are arranged and paid directly between players, typically offline and in cash. Skwad does not process, collect, hold, or handle any payments, and any cost or split shown in the app is for information only. We are not responsible for disputes over money between players.

6. Ratings, reviews, and content

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as messages, ratings, and venue details. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except where we need to keep it for legal, safety, or moderation reasons. Aggregated ratings may be shown on your profile; individual ratings and reviews are shown without identifying who gave them. We may remove content or take action on accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Assumption of risk

Football is a physical activity that carries a risk of injury. You take part in matches at your own risk and are responsible for assessing your own fitness and health and the safety of any venue. Subject to section 9, Skwad is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from taking part in matches, the conduct of other players, or the use of any venue.

8. Third parties

Venues, and services such as WhatsApp, the app stores, and our infrastructure providers, are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skwad will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other players.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Skwad and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if you use the Service in a way that harms others or us. Sections 5 to 9, 12 and 13 continue to apply after your account ends.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app or by message before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the country where Skwad is based. If you live in a different country, you keep any mandatory consumer protections that the law of your country gives you, and nothing in these Terms limits them. Before starting any formal claim, please contact us at support@skwadfc.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
